Using the underpinning evidence base and theory consider the service user perspective in terms of how they will manage their long term condition in partnership with the nurse.

Explore the individualas experience of living with a long term condition. Identify the physical, psychological, emotional, social and potential ethical issues that may arise.

Discuss the relationship between the nurse and service user to include shared decision making and self management.

For example you may want to focus your discussion on some of the following; personal meanings, biographical disruption, illness narratives, trajectory, exacerbation and remission, identity, altered self concept, stigma, labeling and stereotyping, altered regimes, mastery, relationship and role change, coping strategies, emotional and social adaptation shared decision making and self management.
